The Sanjay Dutt biopic has been in the news for all the right reasons from the word go. From Ranbir Kapoor’s casting to him gaining weight to match with Dutt to even getting into Sanju Baba’s skin literally, this film has already created the much-required buzz.

The actor who has already shot for the maximum portions of the biopic is on a break as he is all set to shed the extra kilos he piled on for the older Sanjay Dutt look. Kapoor has given himself 3 months to lose 18 Kgs so that he gets the younger Dutt look of the early 80’s. If sources are to be believed, director Rajkumar Hirani will be filming the portions of Sanjay Dutt’s debut film Rocky where Sanjay had a lean look and then go on to filming the late 80’s and early 90’s period where Sanjay Dutt was seen in films like Sajan, Thaanedar, Khalnayak and many more. For the same Ranbir is shedding 18 Kgs so that the younger portions of Sanjay Dutt can be shot.

This is the first time Ranbir Kapoor has gone under massive physical transformation for any film. The actor went through a rigorous training session to get into the Sanjay Dutt beefed up look.

Looks like Ranbir Kapoor is going the Aamir Khan way. In Dangal, Aamir too chose to shoot the portions where he had to put on weight first and then shot the leaner portions later. In this way post the film completion, Aamir didn’t have to go through the tedious task of weight loss program and went straight into the filming and prep for Thugs of Hindostan.
