The 17th edition of IIFA is just around the corner and the list of nominees is out. When we browsed through their website, we couldn’t help but notice the blunder organizers of IIFA have done this time. Salman Khan being their biggest draw this year was mistakenly put in the Best Supporting Actor category for Sultan. Yes, you are reading it right, the actor who gave a business of 300 Crores plus in 2016 thanks to Sultan was put in the Best Supporting Actor category for the same film.

IIFA Nominates Salman as best supporting actorThe category which had the Best Actor in leading roles listed Shahid Kapoor (Udta Punjab), Ranbir Kapoor (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), Shahrukh Khan (Fan), Sushant Singh Rajput (Dhoni) & Amitabh Bachchan (Pink) but it definitely failed to list the actor of highest grossing film of the year, Salman Khan (Sultan).

IIFA 2017 nominationsThe organisers of IIFA did notice and agreed to the grave error they soon changed Salman’s nomination from Best Supporting Actor to Best Actor Category. Salman is touted to be the biggest draw for this year’s IIFA that will take place on the 14th, 15th & 16th of July in New York.
