The much awaited 2017 IIFA awards have come to an end and the fanfare around it too has settled. We list out the big winners who took the IIFA trophy home in this case back to the hotel in New York.

Best Film – Neerja

Neerja continues to have a successful run at the awards night. In addition to all the previous awards it won this year, Neerja won the biggest award of the night, Best Film award.

Chowdhury couldn’t have been more happier today. The director took a risk with a subject that showed a mirror to our society and it paid off!

The role of a drug addict won Shahid Kapoor the much-deserved award of the night. the actor dedicated the award to his wife Mira Rajput.

A labourer from Bihar is what Alia Bhatt played in Udta Punjab. She essayed the role so very well that IIFA ended up giving her the award the Best Actor award.

Disha bagged her first award of her career for Dhoni. She played Dhoni’s first love interest in the film.

The John Abraham-Varun Dhawan starrer might not have earned a great amount of moolah at the box office but it has surely won Varun and award for his comic timing.

The hijacker in Neerja won the IIFA award for his cruel portrayal of a terrorist who ends up killing Nerja.

Alia Bhatt was declared the Style Icon Of the year, a breather from Sonam Kapoor who has won endless awards for the same category now.

No brainer as to why Pritam bagged the Best Music Director award. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil music still lingers on and an award for it completely does justice. Hence it bagged three main music awards for the night.

Best Female Playback Singer – Kanika Kapoor (Udta Punjab) and Tulsi Kumar (Airlift)

Kanika Kapoor & Tulsi Kumar shared the best female award for Udta Punjab and Airlift respectively.
