And with celebs expressing their moods & opinions freely, differences have cropped up, fights have ensued and wars have been waged. All on Social Media. Off the lot, Twitter has been the most sought after platform and has witnessed some of the biggestcelebrity tiffs.
Here is a list of the Twitter fights that became a public troll.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya vs. Shehla Rashid
Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s Twitter account recently got suspended by the Twitter authorities. This strong move was taken into action after the singer posted a series of offensive tweets against women that included the JNU student Shehla Rashid. A number of twitter users accused the singer of using insulting language leading to suspend his account.
At the MAMI festival, Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar insulted Abhishek Bachchan. Prahlad Kakkar made an offensive statement stating that the actor should be featured in the Guiness Book of World record for starring in a series of flop movies.
Abhishek Bachchan furiously tweeted saying that Prahlad Kakkar is a comedian more than an ad-filmmaker who involves his son in the commercials he creates.
Sonam Kapoor vs. Shobha De
Our very own fashion diva is well known for making absurd comments on her fellow acquaintances but when Shobha De made a comment at an instance, calling her movie “I Hate dumb Storys”; Sonam made a comeback by re-tweeting a tweet by Punit Malhotra.
The tweet stated that De was an fossil who is not getting any action to which Shobha De replied by questioning Sonam’s upbringing.
It is a lesser known fact that Abhinav Kashyap was taken on board to direct the sequel of Dabangg. However, he was asked to step down and his brother and director Anurag Kashyap tweeted” Salman Khan thinks he made my brother’s life. Hope he does the same for Arbaaz when he does Dabangg 2. All the best.”
Arbaaz Khan in no time frantically tweeted back, “Instead of GRATTITUDE some people show ATTITUDE. Wah kya zamana aa gaya hai. Time will tell. Kabhi asliat ko bahar aane mein time lagta hai.”
Ram Gopal Varma vs. Karan Johar
Ram Gopal Varma is known for his controversial twitter posts now. And of the many targets Ram Gopal Varma has sought, Karan Johar has been one. We bring you just one of the instances. Ramu tweeted post the release of Raavan, “I want to remake ‘Raavan’ and I want to request Mani to remake Aag’.
This wasn’t it, he continued the twitter comment by another tweet, “I got a better idea… I will make ‘My name is Raavan’ and Mani should make ‘Raavan Ki Kurbaan’.” to which Karan Johar replied, “You have an amazing sense of humor Ramu. Never shows up in your films though.”
Ram Gopal Varma added further by tweeting, “Karan, because of the constant bashing I receive, I developed my sense of humor as a defence mechanism. And talking of my films not having humor, check out the great comedy I made called ‘RGV Ki Aag’.”
We know one thing for sure that Ram Gopal Varma needs to work hard on his English Grammar in order to continue this habit.
Bipasha Basu vs. Amisha Patel
Bollywood Cat fights are not a shocker anymore. Two of the Bollywood actress, Bipasha Basu and Amisha Patel were spotted flaunting identical outfits at IIFA 2011.
Bipasha tweeted, “a fellow actress landed up wearing the same dress in a different color as me! Amusing even for me… So next time I’ll plan my green carpet outfit in advance and not pull out things out of my cupboard last minute… Anyways you can’t stop the world from buying the same things and keep a tab on all!”
Amisha seemed a little pissed at this statement of the actress and tweeted back, “I don’t need to copy anyone. I’m really unaffected. I don’t care if ten people wear same outfit because clothes don’t make a person. Yet fake b***s do!”
Sonam Kapoor vs. Abhay Deol
Abhay Deol criticized a number of Bollywood actors including SRK, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone endorsing fairness products. Sonam reacted by pointing out to his cousin sister, Esha Deol endorsing a fairness product campaign and questioned his reaction to this?
