It’s the most incredible piece of news in recent times. And only we JINNS at Jinnions have it first.
Media Big Boss Nari Hira lets the ‘cat’ out of the bag. We have it from a reliable source that Amitabh Bachchan could be the next President of India!
And if that happens, it will be the best thing ever simply because of his appeal across generations, religion, caste, creed and gender. And his impressive lineage – as the son of the renowned and awarded poet, Shri Harivanshrai Bachchan.
Amitabh himself is eloquent in two languages, is refined beyond compare and a super celebrity in his own right.
Yes Sir, it was in an interview with ‘Stardust’ magazine Managing Editor and Magna Publishing M.D., Nari Hira that he let the famed (black) cat slip from the bag.
“I have it from my sources that the government is serious about offering the Presidency to Amitabh Bachchan. And he may accept it. The only thing that may come in the way is his booming movie career, and he feels he has another good -5-10 years of work in him!” said Nari Hira during the course of an extensive interview with us.
It came as a sudden shocker but not entirely surprising, considering he was the best man for the job on a global platform – post the end of the tenure of the current President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.
Insiders say that the leadership within the government body are keen that he takes it up.
Says Mr. Hira, “It will be the best thing for the country… I mean what better ambassador for the nation than Amitabh. He is perfect for the job. Only that he should take it up!”
Meanwhile, other likely contenders in the news are, BJP senior leader – LK Advani, Lok Sabha Speaker – Sumitra Mahajan and Jharkhand Governor – Draupadi Murmu.
So it remains to be seen, post 25th July 2017, who the final President elect will be.
But as of now, Amitabh Bachchan is in the reckoning. Whether he takes up his second brush with politics post a terrible (in his own words) ‘first attempt as Member of Parliament; remains to be seen. As of now, we can only whet our appetites with what Mr. Hira so candidly just admitted. Like the archetypal ‘black cat’ ‘Neeta’ that his world famous magazine ‘Stardust’ symbolizes.
